Whenever I feel sad about life I think about the time that Kimi Raikkonen fell off his yacht. And then I feel better.
Let’s just remember he also fell over a fence in front of photographers, fell asleep on the street with an inflatable dolphin and is generally just a walking embarrassment. He is who we should all aspire to be.
Yeah but he drives a Ferrari and I never will.
The thing that’s great about Kimi is his aversion to playing the game. Most driver’s in Formula One don’t have a personality, they play the soundbites out as they’re supposed to be.
I just love how nonchalant he is. Doing what he loves, I assume in the car whilst he’s driving he’s probably a hoonigan but when he’s out of the car it’s like: “The fuck… I just drive.”
That’s why he’s an aspiration to us. A man endeavoured to his passion for racing above all else, in an age where the contrived notions of society negate an ever encroaching era of mass surveillance. o.e
